We are open every day from 10 am to 9 pm! Our own ferry, m/s Walhalla, leaves from Sapokka every hour and 20 minutes to full hour from Varissaari back to the mainland. The ferry is owned by our restaurant, so we can also arrange out-of-schedule rides for groups.

The island also has a wonderful Museum exhibition pavilion set of the Ruotsinsalmi battles (1789-1790), the museum is free to enter.

You are very welcome to spend a relaxing summer day at the beach or on the rocky shores of Varissaari!

Restaurant Vaakku is a wonderful island restaurant in the Kotka archipelago, just a 10-minute boat ride from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Come with your family (don't forget the dogs!) to enjoy our high-quality restaurant Vaakku. For larger groups, we recommend a table reservation in advance.

From us you can also order fast-paced RIB -boat rides, wreath courses, treasure hunts for adults and Sauna Raft Kiulu.

Varissaari has been a favorite excursion destination for finnish people for more than a century. The island has a rich history, and there are still various memorials, rock carvings, cannons and wreckage on the island to remind you of that.
